Team FCNJ the newly repaved Sonoma Raceway - Ferrari Challenge NA Round 5

We had a successful week at the newly repaved Sonoma Raceway and the Ferrari Challenge North America along with Team Ferrari of Central New Jersey – Racing with Ferrari!

Roger Monteforte in car 101 Coppa Shell AM

Jeffrey Nunberg in car 141 Coppa Shell AM

Osvaldo Gaio in car 193 Coppa Shell

This our week in Sonoma included many highs and lows but overall it was a great time on the west coast:

Race 1 Coppa Shell AM

After a difficult race weekend at Watkins Glen International, Jeff Nunberg came back to take Pole in the rain for Race 1 on Saturday.  He went on to set the fastest lap and win the race.  This was Jeff’s first win in North America since winning at Mugello last season.

Race 2 Coppa Shell AM

Roger Monteforte had another spectacular qualifying  for race two we he achieved Pole Position.  After a great start Roger’s car experienced some damage and had to retire from the race. Roger is currently the points leader and has the most wins in the season.  The series championship is within reach.

Race 1 Coppa Shell

Osvaldo Gaio was the winner of the Gentlemen’s Cup in Coppa Shell race 1. Osvaldo is currently in 2nd place in the overall rankings for the Gentlemen’s cup.
