Team FCNJ at World-Famous Indianapolis Speedway - INDY! - for the Penultimate Race Weekend

Dear Teammates and Fans,

We had a successful week at the newly repaved Sonoma Raceway and the Ferrari Challenge North America along with Team Ferrari of Central New Jersey – Racing with Ferrari!

We left Indy with our teammate Roger Monteforte #101 leading the Coppa Shell AM championship by 32 points.  Roger is heading to Italy for our race at Imola with an opportunity to expand his points lead and finish his 2nd season in the Ferrari Challenge as series champion.

Race 1 Coppa Shell AM

Roger working to put some distance between himself and Steve Check in the Coppa Shell AM championship extended his lead in the points by driving a smart and patient race one and earning a spot on the podium in 3rd place.

Race 2 Coppa Shell AM

Roger Monteforte had another spectacular qualifying  for race two and qualifying for the front row in P2.  Jeff Nunberg also had a great qualifying on the 2nd row in P3.   After an interesting start, Jeff climbed to P2 and Roger dropped one position to P3.  Upon completion of the race both Jeff and Roger shared the podium with Jeff in P2 and Roger in P3.

We had an awesome time in Indy wrapping up the North American continent races and all of us are looking to finish the season strong in Italy and the world famous Imola Circuit.
